Hi all,

Our children currently attend a BUSD school in the southeast zone, but we are considering a move to another zone within Berkeley this summer. We would like our children to remain enrolled in their current school, and I understand that as long as we still reside within the city we do not need to take any action for this to happen. (If my understanding is wrong, please let me know.)

However, we are unsure whether bus service will be available to them if we move to a different zone. Specifically, we're wondering if our children will still be eligible for bus service if we take them to the nearest pickup spot on the border or within the zone. (We understand buses will not come across the border.) Or, are students living outside of the zone automatically excluded from bus service?
