Mexico with teens for language advancement

Hi community,

I am hoping to find some updated advice about traveling to Mexico with family, more specifically for the purpose of advancing my Spanish speaking skills and for my kids (a teen and preteen) to get some language and culture exposure as well. I see there are options, but I don’t know how to assess if they are good options. One of the limitations I have is that I wouldn’t be able to stay in Mexico for more than 2-2.5 weeks. I know more time would be better, but figure that is a starting point for now. I want it to be more immersive (maybe volunteering options? Staying with residents?) than I am picturing a conventional language school program. Finally, the hope is to be in/near Mexico City. Thank you community for helping out with some experiences/advice!
