Does anyone have experience with siding contractors?

We have a 2-story house with wood siding just outside the "extreme fire risk" zone in Oakland.

Our mission is to replace our wood siding with Hardieboard or some other fire-resistant material.

Yes, it will be expensive.

We received advice from a reputable general contractor to focus on contractors who specialize in siding.

Does anyone in the BPN community have any recommendations?
