Does anyone have experience with Cal Magic based in Orinda that they're willing to share? Our daughter is interested in playing club soccer next year and we're curious to learn more about Cal Magic. Our other likely option is Montclair Soccer Club (soon-to-be Clippers FC). Our daughter enjoys soccer, benefits from a structured program, and would love to be a part of a team where she can build relationships with other kids over a longer period of time. We're not focused on the competitive aspect of club soccer and how "good" a club is, and are more interested in strong and warm coaching, kind kids and families, and a well-organized program that has solid communication. One question we have is whether our daughter is likely to even be offered a spot on the U8 girls team, given that she was not a part of the team last year and the team size seems to be pretty small. She has a knack for soccer, but at this point it's more raw potential and game sense than concrete skills.
