Bret Harte Middle School

My family and I live in the Dimond district of Oakland and our daughter is currently in 5th grade at Sequoia Elementary. It's a bit early but I am starting to look at middle school options. Our local middle school is Bret Harte. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on the quality of the school. From an education standpoint but also a social aspect.  Are there any current families who can provide some insight on their experiences? Thanks!
