Winston Preparatory School: Planning for High School and Beyond for LD Students
Planning for High School and College can be challenging for students who do not do well in traditional educational environments. This workshop will help parents and educators understand the important steps that are required to begin the process of getting students with learning differences ready for college. Many of our students are "college capable but not yet college ready" and it is important to begin this process in the early high school years to be able to make a smooth transition to higher education after high school. Presenter Kristen Atkins has been working in the field of learning differences for over 30 years and is currently the Head of School at Winston Preparatory School in San Rafael - a new campus opening up in the fall of 2020.
