The Coder School Berkeley is a year-round after-school coding school for kids ages 7-18. We combine collaboration and immersion with direct instruction by our Code Coaches® to get your kids learning to code and rockin' their inner hacker in no time! Our mission is to inspire and excite kids to not only learn to code, but think critically about how technology can change our lives in the future. At The Coder School, we want aspiring coders to use their new found passion as a stepping stone to thinking outside the box, as a way to channel their ideas in a creative way and most importantly, to have fun.
Our core offering, Code Coaching®, has a low 2 students to 1 coach ratio so students get the attention needed to excel while still enabling collaboration. Unlike other programs, our talented coaches are trained to tailor the lessons to your kid’s interests. This unique approach fosters a lifelong passion for building and technology. Whether your kid ends up a doctor, entrepreneur, or engineer, our program will equip him/her with skills (logic, breaking complex problems into manageable chunks, working with others towards an end goal) and confidence valuable in any future career.
