UCSF Department of Psychiatry: Paid Online Research Study on Teen Sleep & Mood

The UCSF Teen Sleep study is recruiting adolescents who are having trouble sleeping. We are researching a sleep and mood intervention which can be accessed on your phone. There are no in-person study visits, and you will not be asked to take any medication as part of this study.

WHO CAN TAKE PART?

You can take part if you are: 

  • Experiencing some issues with mood or stress
  • Having trouble sleeping
  • 12-18 years old
  • Access to a mobile phone or computer
  • Located in or around the San Francisco Bay Area

WHAT'S INVOLVED: 

If you are eligible to part in this study, you will:

  • Complete 4 study assessments over 8 months via online questionnaires.
  • Wear a sleep monitoring device
  • Attend 2 online study visits
  • Be randomized to one of two 8-week sleep and mood interventions to be completed on your phone. 

WILL I BE PAID?

Participants will be paid up to $145.50 in gift cards for their time.
