UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland: Study of Free UCSF Parenting Program (virtual option)

Researchers & Authors Seeking Parents/Kids
City:
Oakland
Ages:
Toddlers, Preschoolers

We are looking for mothers of toddlers to join our study of an intervention program to improve both parent and child well-being and reduce parenting stress. Many toddlers have a hard time with big emotions and behaviors. Parenting young children can feel like a roller coaster with lots of ups and downs.

Who is eligible for the study? You may be eligible if you are: 18 years of age or older, have a biological child between 2 and 4 years old, and speak English or Spanish.

What will happen if I enroll in the study? You and your child will have 10 weekly sessions with a trained parent coach from Benioff Children's Hospital. These sessions can take place by video, in our clinic, or our parent coach can come to your home. You can choose to have a mix of in-person and virtual sessions. You will also be asked to fill out brief surveys before, during, and after you finish the program.

Is there a cost? The intervention is free and you can earn up to $150 in Visa gift cards for completing brief surveys while you are in the study.

How do I find out if I'm eligible? Please go to https://carelab.ucsf.edu/abc-study and click the link to fill out the brief eligibility survey. Our team will get back to you within 2 business days.

Who can I contact if I have questions? If you have any questions, please feel free to email our Clinical Research Coordinator, Stephanie Simms, at abcstudy [at] ucsf.edu
