Rachel Tucker, LMFT: psychotherapy for children and families
Hi Berkeley Parents Network,
My name is Rachel Tucker and I'm a licensed psychotherapist with a private practice serving children and families in the East Bay.
Being a therapist, or "feelings helper" as some of my kid clients have described, is my calling. If I had to distill my work to a sentence or two
I would say that I work to help children learn emotional regulation and anxiety reduction skills so that their lives and family time are
improved. Over the years I have helped kids from preschool aged through adolescence reach their social/emotional goals. Through our time together
I am able to help a child (and often their family) grow in ways that will serve them for the rest of their lives. In my private practice I work directly with
children as well as providing parent coaching for families with preschool aged children.
If you are hoping to find a therapist for your child or family, here are a few descriptions of clients that are an excellent fit for me:
- Preschool aged children with big feelings, or might be described as highly sensitive
- Elementary aged child with anxiety or neurodivergence
- Any age child who is gender nonconforming
- Parents who are highly successful in their field of work wanting support parenting an anxious or neurodivergent child
- Parents who want support in setting up a successful morning or evening routine
- Parents who need help to create discipline strategies that align with their current values
My working hours are during school hours, so Monday-Friday between 8:30am-3pm.
Feel free to take a look at my website to learn more about me: www.RachelTuckerTherapy.com
I offer an initial consultation conversation free of charge so we can determine if I'm a good fit to help your family. Feel free to email me or call me to set that up.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Warmly,
Rachel Tucker
