School-Aged, Preteens, Teens, Young Adults

Looking for engaging STEM activities for your middle schooler, while also contributing to cutting edge research?

The Lawrence Hall of Science at the University of California, Berkeley is conducting a nationwide study to better understand how middle school youth develop computational thinking skillsets and how computational thinking can support science learning.

We are looking for middle school students (grades 6-8) to participate in an online survey. The survey will engage students in a series of short online science activities and ask them questions about their thoughts related to science. The survey has three parts, that will take about 30 minutes each. Total participation will be 90 minutes. Students may take the survey in one sitting or over multiple sessions.

If your middle schooler is interested in participating, or for more information, please contact Sara Allan (sara.allan [at]
