Inspire Behavioral Learning: English, ESL, Executive Function & "Pod" Tutoring
Hello! Would you like a tutor to join your Social Bubble and provide in-person educational support for your child's online school attendance, while following health and safety guidelines? Do you need a tutor who is fun, kind, knowledgeable and passionate about breaking concepts down into easy steps? Are you looking for English, ESL, and executive function tutoring (e.g., help with attention, organization, task initiation, homework completion, study skills, etc.)? I would love to help! I'm Kelly, and I founded Inspire Behavioral Learning to offer educational and behavioral health services to help students of all abilities achieve their goals and dreams. Lessons are play-based for children, interactive and student-centered for all ages. In one-on-one tutoring, students master skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing, pragmatics, critical thinking, and executive functioning. We also help with Common Core English Language Arts (ELA) applied to other subjects. Another bonus is experience in behavior management and tips for parents.
Who We Serve: Children, teens, and adults of all skill levels and backgrounds are welcome, including beginning to advanced ESL; students with disabilities, such as autism, speech and language delays, and ADD/ADHD; students looking to improve self-confidence and executive functioning skills; and students who are catching up on remedial skills or who seek mastery in advanced placement. Your child is paired with a dedicated tutor who guides learners toward mastering and applying skills both in academics and in life beyond the classroom.
Who We Are: All tutors have education and experience in English, Education, Linguistics, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), or related fields and bring a well-rounded blend of knowledge and critical thinking, warmth and empathy, and action focus. I have twenty-two years of experience working with English and ESL learners and toddlers to adults with autism and other disabilities. I have a graduate-level TESOL certificate from UC Berkeley; an MA in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), the science of learning that focuses on measurable interaction between the learner and environment; and a BA in Psychology with a minor in Education.
Location: Online tutoring via Google Meet, Skype, or Zoom. For families forming "pods" and including a tutor in their Social Bubble, in-person tutoring outdoors at the student's home will be available for the school year, following health and safety requirements.
