Fertile Ground Parenting: Words to Live By: Meaningful Intentions Workshop 9/28
Words to Live By: Daily Intentions for Meaningful Parenting and Life
Saturday, September 28, 2024

Natural Resources, San Francisco
Words are powerful.
We turn to books for comfort, stories passed down through generations for meaning, and songs to help us feel the pain and power and beauty of life as we know it.
When we become parents, we can feel as if we begin to exist in a smaller world, where the words we speak and hear all day relate only to caregiving, scheduling, and logistics. While these words are essential and meaningful in our newly shaped lives, we can miss the depth and nuance of the world of language we used to inhabit.
Creating a set of simple but powerful prayers or intentions for how we want to show up for ourselves, our people, and our world is one way to add depth to our daily lives. It also offers us a simple way to connect with a deeper sense of meaning without pulling us away from our very real and important day-to-day demands.
Come to this workshop to think and feel into what matters most for you in this season of your life. We will talk with each other, write together, and create our own individual prayers (intentions, aspirations, guideposts, ideas) for how we want to be and what we want to offer to the world.
This workshop is open to any parent who seeks meaning in parenting and in life in general. No religious affiliation required (or excluded). Come as you are, with openness to what you can learn at this time from your inner landscape and your fellow humans.
