Family Sanity: New Parent Support Groups Forming for September
Family Sanity, a Bay Area organization that offers resources and support to parents of teens and young adults suffering with mental health issues, will be forming two new groups starting this September.
On the third Tuesday evening of each month, support meetings will be held for parents of teens and young adults. The group for parents of teens will be lead by Sarah MacKay Lynch, a Certified Parent Coach, and Family Sanity Founder Lisa Scimens will facilitate the group for parents of young adults (18+). First meetings will take place on Tuesday, September 17 .
Family Sanity is a non-profit organization founded in 2014. In addition to monthly support groups, the organization also holds special events on topics such as cannabis and its affects on the teen/young adult brain and video game/technology addiction.
