Child's Play Wonderschool: Hiring Head Infant Teacher
Child's Play is looking for a full-time Head Infant Teacher at our Pill Hill/Telegraph campus.
The Head Infant Teacher ensures the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their emotional, social and physical needs as well as their educational needs. The Head Infant Teacher has an awareness of the unique needs of young children and utilize developmentally appropriate practices to support their growth and development. Duties and responsibilities include being the primary caregiver for four children in the classroom; assisting children with activities of daily life (e.g., diapering, feeding); engaging children in activities and play that stimulates their development; appropriately supervising children while keeping them safe at all times; supervising and mentoring two Infant Teacher Aides' and conducting child assessments and facilitating parent-teacher conferences. Minimum Qualifications include 12 core semester units (3 semester units related to infant care), and at least 6 months experience in a licensed Child Care Center with children under age 5 years. Benefits include salary range of $45,000-$48,000, group health, dental and vision insurance (50% employER paid), 10 days PTO, paid holidays (~10) and breaks (5 weeks), commuter benefit and professional development.
