Camp Reel Stories: Advanced Filmmaking Summer Program!

Summer & Holiday Camps
City:
Oakland
Ages:
Preteens, Teens

We have a few spots left in our Advanced Filmmaking Summer Program starting July 8, 2019! In this two week program, girls & non-binary youth create a film in only 10 days with workshops led by media experts! Our Advanced Filmmaking Program is open to those who have graduated from our Bootcamp Filmmaking program, or have previous experience creating their own media.

Reel Stories believes that when women and girls are better represented behind the scenes in the media, they will be better reflected on the screen. Reel Stories is a non-profit organization that empowers 12-18 year old young women and gender non-conforming youth with the skills to create their own media, to view current media critically and thoughtfully, and to aspire to leadership in their field. During our Advanced Filmmaking Program, girls and non-binary youth get to work in small, collaborative groups, to write, shoot, edit and broadcast their own short films.  At the end of each session, filmmakers will get to present their work at a film festival at a local theater open to the public!

Reel Stories is the only media program in the country led by professionals in the industry. Join us this summer to tell the world your stories. Your audience is waiting!
