BHS Crew: Berkeley High Crew Learn to Row Camp for Middle School+
Berkeley High Crew is happy to announce that registrations for its Learn to Row summer program are now open!
In continuous operation since 1967, BHS Crew has been building strong, supportive communities of athletes for over fifty years. No prior rowing experience is needed for these week-long sessions, although rowers will need to have passed a swim test to participate. BHS Crew team coaches lead the camps with the support of members of our Varsity squad. Many of our Varsity team members got their start rowing at Learn to Row camps. They also serve as a great opportunity for future BHS freshmen to get to know a terrific community of future classmates.
Camps run from 11 to 2 pm weekdays at the Jack London Aquatic Center (JLAC) in Oakland. Campers arriving at Lake Merrit BART will walk as a group escorted by their Varsity team counselors. Space is limited. Depending on availability, campers are welcome to attend as few or as many weeks of camp as they like. Fee assistance is available.
