Berkeley Rose Waldorf School: Private Tours for Fall Grades Spots
Berkeley Rose Waldorf School, now located in its forever home in the Piedmont Avenue neighborhood of Oakland, has limited open spots in our grades programs for Fall 2025. Second grade through Sixth grade are accepting applicants for Fall. Joining our middle school at 6th grade is a natural moment for integration to our school community. We are happy to schedule a private tour for you before June 6, or to orient you to the school and what if offers through a phone or Zoom tour. Reach out to schedule!
What you can expect: your child will be a known member of a tightly knit class of 11-17 students. They are seen as an individual with their own educational and life journey; our teachers strive to support the unique student before them, cultivate natural talents and gifts, strengthen students around challenge areas, give support so that students can naturally allow their interests and curiosities to blossom. Academics are taught with intentionality and deeply considered timelines which unfold along with the child's development. Lessons are taught and then are revisited for a deepening of the material and of understanding. All topics are chosen to meet the 21st century Californian child in this modern world, drawing on the wisdom of 105 years of Waldorf Education. A reverence for other cultures, religions, languages, ethnicities, opinions, genders, and thoughts is cultivated and grows naturally from the focus on the human being, NOT on technology, speed, kill and drill, memorization of rote facts, or by teaching to any test. School reinforces what parents believe: students are capable beings who can take on more and more each year, are clever, creative, and resilient. Taught to believe in themselves, Waldorf students take on the world with gusto.
