Berkeley Community Tutor – with lead tutor Kevin Arnold – provides effective tutoring and coaching sessions to help students successfully achieve their academic goals and professional dreams. 

Let's prepare for this new academic school year and beyond! 

I'm currently accepting new students who are seeking to improve their Executive Function, organizational, and academic writing skills, as well as students who desire to craft truly effective essays for their college applications. 

My goal is to help each student learn how to self-direct their own educational pathway. With my natural affinity for connecting with students on both a personal and intellectual level, we forge this academic path together with flow and ease. 

Also, now is the perfect time to start composing those college entrance essays, as well as generating meaningful research into discovering which colleges/universities are a great fit. Over the last 20 years, I've helped hundreds of students gain acceptance to elite private colleges, small liberal arts schools, The Claremont Colleges, as well as all of the UCs in California. I know the unique character and style of this way of writing and can help any student decode and truly enjoy the complexities of the application process. 

My Methods and Philosophy:

Over time, I've learned that effective tutoring is more than knowing a subject; it's knowing how to naturally connect with students and teach in a relaxed and engaging way. I approach my students in a calm, down-to-earth, and knowledgeable manner. These methods inspire them to feel relaxed and inspired, which truly allows my students to learn a new and often complex academic skill or subject.
