Oakland
Ages:
School-Aged, Preteens, Teens, Young Adults

BACA Oakland offers two Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) for adolescents and young adults. An IOP is a multi-week treatment program for those who need more intensive treatment and a higher level of care than routine outpatient services. IOPs can also be a step-down from residential programs or hospitalization. Adolescents or young adults who are a good fit experience frequent mental health symptoms that significantly impact their functioning in relationships, school (e.g. attendance, performance), work and/or community.

The program helps teens develop the skills needed to manage mental health symptoms, advocate for themselves and build better relationships with those in their lives in a warm, structured and supportive environment. It also helps to identify and address the underlying reasons for school refusal, and emotional and behavioral issues at home and/or at school.

Do the challenges of adult life seem too difficult to face at times? Do you struggle to live independently? This group may be the place for you! The program is for young adults who are finding the responsibilities of "adulting" challenging and would like to be more successful in the day-to-day adult world.

Intake Process

If you are interested in enrolling in our IOPs, please complete an Appointment Request Form. Once the form is successfully completed and submitted, you will be contacted by a member of our staff for a phone screening and to set up the Free Needs Assessment.

Insurance and Fees

We currently are in-network with Cigna, Aetna and Anthem Blue Cross for both outpatient and intensive outpatient services (IOPs). We will submit claims to all other insurance companies and have a generous financial assistance policy for families in need.
