Annemaria Yoga: Prenatal Yoga, Outdoor / ZOOM / In-studio
Come practice and be in community with other expecting parents, whether outdoors in the beautiful Codornices Park at 1201 Euclid Ave (We will find a shady spot up by the baseball field), indoors at Green Yogi Telegraph, or via ZOOM from the comfort of your own home.
For the outdoor class, please bring your own yoga mat and 1-2 yoga blocks if you have them, sunscreen and water, and anything else you need for you to be comfortable outdoors.
Our time together will begin with a check-in and a chance to connect to the community of other expecting parents, then we'll get to moving. This prenatal practice will teach you to cultivate trust and intuitive listening in your body in preparation for birth. We'll explore movement to develop balanced suppleness and strength in the tissues to support your body as the pregnancy progresses and to prepare your body specifically for labor and birth. We'll learn breathwork helpful for labor, tools to work with sensation, we'll examine the biomechanics of pelvis and learn movements that can aid in making room for the baby to position well, and how to move with baby in labor. All levels welcome.
