AFS Intercultural Programs has immediate hosting opportunities for Chinese students Kunping and Minghe from now until June!

Ming He is a friendly, calm, polite, and helpful young man. He likes playing basketball with his friends, practicing Thai Chi, and writing music. He is close with his family and enjoys being around his younger cousins playing games or helping them with their homework. He also loves Lily, his cat. In school, Ming He's favorite subjects are math, physics and physical education. He wants to learn about American culture and is grateful to his host family for helping him do that. He hopes to bring happiness to his host family and can't wait to start his exchange!

Kunping is a calm, responsible, and goal oriented young man. His hobbies include watching movies, playing badminton, building model cars, and flying model airplanes. Steve is his class treasurer and has volunteered at a local nursing home; he also volunteers at his school helping with the gardening and recycling program. He is close to his family, especially his mom and grandparents, and enjoys their company. Steve's future goal is to become a game designer and start his own company. He is excited to meet his host family and experience high school in the US!

Hosting an exchange student is a great opportunity for cultural exchange!  Please contact me at (707) 338.8069 or rcyphers [at] afsusa.org for more information or questions.

AFS Intercultural Programs is a non-profit organization that provides international student exchange programs for approximately 2,200 foreign exchange students coming to the U.S. each year. We match each student to a host family in a local American community, where the student will attend high school during the academic year. We offer great support to students and host families before, during and after their experience!
