Pacific Boychoir Academy is a one-of-a-kind school:   

PBA is the only secular, independent boychoir school in the US, offering boys grades 3-8, rigorous academics plus daily music and choral training.

Music + Academics together greater than the sum of the parts:

Each PBA Day School student receives a complete education not available anywhere else, with each area influencing the other through acquisition of skills of self-discipline, responsibility to the community through excellent rehearsal and performance behavior, rigorous attention to assignments, and support of fellow learners.  Music education helps boys develop skills of self-discipline and personal responsibility, while providing meaningful collaboration with peers.

3rd- 8th grade boys thrive in a “Best for Boys” academic environment:

• Small classes with engaging project-based study ensure that each boy’s learning style and academic needs are recognized and individually accommodated.
• Interactive classroom dynamics help boys develop confidence through developing and communicating their ideas with both logic and passion, while respectfully considering the views of others. 

Day School Students receive 15 hours of music instruction a week:

• No prior music experience is required, just a love of music and learning.
• Daily music program of rigorous music theory and choral training helps graduates achieve college-level proficiency.
• International, domestic, and local performances build strong bonds, open new worlds, and provide students the pride of achieving high levels of musical and vocal skills.
• Students need not aspire to become professional musicians, although their training will set them well on their way should they choose that path.

A PBA boy carries his experiences throughout life:

• PBA graduates are well-prepared for either independent or public high school and go on to attend a wide variety of high schools, colleges and universities.
• Most Day School graduates continue their affiliation with PBA by participating in the after school choir program in high school.
• School traditions, such a camps, family dinners, touring, and regular town-hall gatherings strengthen community and create beloved traditions.

Academic subjects offered at PBA are: Math, Science, Humanities, Spanish, Art, and Physical Education.  Extra-curricular activities include student-organized clubs. 

The high levels of musical and performance achievement have been recognized through invitations for the boys to perform with the San Francisco Symphony, the Marin Symphony, Festival Opera and others.  In addition, PBA singers have performed on GRAMMY award-winning recordings with the San Francisco Symphony.
